Helping organisations tackle social and environmental challenges

I work with charities, trusts, foundations, and philanthropists to help them act at the intersection of social and environmental issues. My focus is on the UK, while recognising how local challenges reflect wider global climate justice concerns. I help organisations understand how environmental crises, social inequality, and community needs connect; and turn that insight into practical, high-impact action, and have published extensively in this space.

Turning insight into action
Through WrkWll, I provide tailored consultancy that helps organisations translate strategy into real-world results. This includes supporting client’s learning on environmental issues - including how climate change might impact your area, developing related programmes and partnerships, and facilitating user-led processes. I help organisations identify opportunities for multisolving - addressing multiple challenges at once to create shared benefits across social, environmental, and equity dimensions. The goal is to break down silos, maximise impact, and deliver meaningful social and environmental change together.

Holistic support through collaboration
I work alongside other WrkWll associates to provide integrated support across leadership, strategy, governance, monitoring and evaluation, user involvement and change management. This collaborative approach ensures environmental considerations are embedded throughout an organisation - from decision-making and programme design to long-term strategy and culture. Together, we help organisations strengthen leadership capacity, align governance with systemic priorities, and build the structures needed to achieve lasting impact.

Focusing on communities
A key part of my work is helping organisations understand how the people and places they serve are affected by environmental crises in the UK, and how these local challenges connect to global issues. I help design next steps that are inclusive, equitable, and practical, ensuring decisions consider both immediate community needs and wider systemic impacts.

This approach allows organisations to act effectively while keeping fairness and sustainability at the centre. I have previously supported both charities and funders in this space, as a freelancer and for many years before that as a consultant at NPC.

Building partnerships and collective action
Collaboration is at the heart of what I do. I facilitate workshops, co-design initiatives, and support organisations to work together across sectors and silos. By building partnerships and fostering collective action, organisations can share learning, amplify impact, and co-create solutions that reflect shared goals.

Making lasting change
At the core of my work is a commitment to justice, fairness, and sustainability. Through WrkWll, I help organisations grow their capacity to make a meaningful difference. By combining practical support, strategic insight, and collaborative working, organisations can embed social and environmental considerations into every aspect of their work and contribute to a future where fairness, health, and sustainability are built into the fabric of UK communities.
